About Mark Walsh

Founding director of LIghtwave Architectural, an architectural design studio that commenced in 2003. Mark had a vision for providing a unique architectural services to clients and a belief that innovative design is a given for any architectural company. This vision has led Lightwave to reinvent the structure and delivery of architectural services as a whole. Key philosophical approach is Listen, Understand, Create and utilising insights gained as platforms to create design solutions that provide an optimum fit to a client’s particular needs and budget. Mark is a results driven, self motivated and industrious designer with a proven track record in design, including the management of teams to achieve cost effective, high impact design outcomes. Strong skills in developing design concepts that respond to and strengthen business models and project branding. Substantial experience in identifying and understanding the challenges of implementing design concepts, and setting the programs and strategies to deliver. Excellent leadership and communication skills to establish sustainable and profitable relationships with stakeholders in the delivery of design projects. Has practiced architecture in Australia and abroad since 1990 and with over 20 years industry experience as a designer and project architect. Specialties: Key projects in sectors including aged care, appartments and resorts, education, modular construction and property development.
