I am honored to have been named: Filmmaker of the Year at the 2015 African Youth Awards Shortlisted among the Top 20 Emerging Filmmakers by Netflix & UNESCO in 2022 Recipient of the Ousmane Sembène Award at the Zanzibar International Film Festival for my film "Mawimbi" Nominee for Best East Africa Director at the Magic Vibe Awards My films, including the historically significant short "Deceit," have been selected for renowned film festivals worldwide, from the Durban International Film Festival and the Africa Magic Viewer's Choice Awards to the Cannes International Pan African Film Festival and the Vienna International Film Awards.
