South African Citizenship+ French Residence Biography of Mark Wang, Head of Sales – Greater China, Sun International With an honors degree in Genetic Engineering, I came to South Africa 20 years ago and worked in the international tourism industry ever since. I have worked for Sun International for the last 8 years, now heading the Greater China sales team. I have an excellent relationship with both the inbound and outbound agents, as well as the Chinese Embassy. My passion is to promote business and culture between China and the South Africa; being a member of the Chinese and South Africa friendship association. I am also currently Director General of the Western Cape Chinese Association of Commerce in South Africa and am also a regular contributor to the South African Chinese newspaper – African Times. Below are some of the high lights of my Career: • On behalf of the tourism bodies based in South Africa, I have presented more than 50 Travel Trade shows in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. These shows include, South African Tourism Road shows, China International Travel Mart China, International Business Travel Mart China, Taipei Travel Fair. • On behalf of Sun International, I have organized more than 20 workshops over 2 years, all over China to promote Sun International products and the South Africa as a country. The number of people attending these workshops, are between 50 to 200 people. The audience are outbound agents and travel media. The cities attended are Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou. Shenzhen, Shenyang, Harbin, Dalian, Qingdao, Jinan, Xi’An, Chengdu, Chongqing, Xiamen, Haikou, Wuhan, Kunming and more. • I have connections to most of the credited outbound agents all over China. • During my Career in Travel, I have achieved more than 30 TV free coverage from China for the employer and interviewed by CCTV, Guangdong TV, Beijing TV, Shanghai TV as well as Phoenix TV.
