About Mark Weiss

Since becoming immersed in the field of water treatment and energy efficiency, I have dedicated my time and energy to helping growers and distributors in the ever growing greenhouse industry to ensure they are able to continue to safely and effectively produce the foods that feed millions while using less water and having less of an impact on the environment. After a detour into the world of Insurance I returned to my Environmental Engineering roots and specialize in helping building owners, managers and operators increase efficiency thereby lowering their greenhouse gas emissions and their energy costs. I work closely with growers in the greenhouse industry helping to ensure they have clean greenhouses, safe from pests and contaminates. As a final challenge I also prepare quotations for jobs related to the chemical treatment of cooling towers, steam boilers, closed loop systems, solar systems, geothermal systems and glycol systems. I have been trained in the Environmental field to work in a consulting environment, focused on estimating, remediation, site assessment, water loss management, water treatment and others. I have also worked extensively with GIS software in a Market Research position. Always interested in projects relating to water quality and water loss management. Specialties: estimating, design build, acoustic leak detection, AutoCAD, site remediation, methane gas detection, water quality analysis, consulting engineering, eligible for certification as an OIT to work at any water/wastewater treatment plant in Ontario, as well as eligible for certification as a Water Quality Analyst.
