About Mark Whitley

I am a problem solver by nature. My engineering degree and MBA, along with 6+ years of post-graduate engineering consulting and 3+ years of management consulting, has allowed me to refine and develop effective ways of thinking outside the box and creatively figuring out better ways to service our projects, clients, and business. Whether it is managing people, business decisions, or complex technical issues, my approach to framing problems as opportunities has allowed me to evaluate problems from multiple perspectives and find the best way forward. I am a motivated and hard-working team player with strong analytical, problem-solving, and managerial skills. I thrive in fast-paced, client-facing, team-oriented, high-pressure work environments. I have been consistently recognized as a top performer and respected leader in personal, academic, and professional settings. I naturally find myself in both formal and informal leadership positions in the workplace, on the athletic field, and in other aspects of my life. In my career, I have had the opportunity to be a peer mentor to new employees by providing orientation and training, facilitating team introductions, and directing work. I am consistently recognized for my ability to lead more junior employees and manage up, support my peers and interface successfully with clients. Informally, people often look to me to organize social gatherings or intramural sports due to my strong organization and communication skills. When not working, you can likely find me on the sports field, golfing, cycling, or cooking up a new recipe in the kitchen.
