Evaluations of policies, programmes and legislation, impact assessments and feasibility studies. Diverse policy interests include: industrial competitiveness, higher education, research and innovation, financial instruments, SMEs and entrepreneurship, digitalisation and digital transformation, AI and the IoT, blockchain, space, education, employment and skills and consumer protection. Assignments as team leader for the EC, EP, DIT, WB etc. I've evaluated many different pieces of law, ranging from individual product safety laws to the complex inter-relationship between consumer, digital and data-related laws. Fitness Checks led include a major study on digital fairness in EU consumer law, a Fitness check of 25 different product regulations and directives and a Fitness Check of the Environmental Noise Directive. the impact of digitalisation and the circular economy on fitness for purpose of law was a key feature of these studies. Benchmarking experience and global outlook - studies have covered up to 50 countries.
