Very strong believer in the power of individuals and teams achieving excellence. Experienced wide variety of golf course turf industry: family owned executive 9-hole with a small team; corporate 45-hole facility with ~50-person crew; multiple high-end public and private clubs in Toronto and GTA. Educated in business and turf management at Durham College and University of Guelph respectively. Passionate about continuing education: researching, attending seminars and trade shows, participating regularly in networking opportunities and conversations with industry professionals, and, always having one’s glass empty while being eternally curious. One of two Senior Assistant Superintendents at Oakdale Golf & Country Club for 2023 Canadian Open- organized and held job assignment meetings for AM & PM shifts for ~100-person crew (tournament week)- ensured execution and quality of all maintenance and related tasks - worked directly with PGA agronomist to refine golf course setup and maintenance methods used to produce tournament playing conditions - constantly and consciously tuned into team-moral: maxing out positive energy and enthusiasm required to carry out monumental task of executing tournament week
