About Mark Wilhelmsson

I am a father of 4, a former Investigator in New York City for 26+ years, and the Founder of Safe Kids CPR. I am the author of “EMERGENCY - This Book Will Save Your Baby’s Life.” I am also a Certified Pediatric and Adult CPR, AED and First Aid Instructor, Water Safety Ambassador and Babysitter Trainer Instructor through the American Red Cross. Our mission is to radically reduce the number of childhood deaths and injuries worldwide by empowering parents—and expecting parents—with the knowledge, life-saving skills and access to the most trusted experts and resources to protect and keep your children and family safe. Why It Matters This year, nearly a million children worldwide will not make it to the age of 5. In the United States alone, it’s approximately children—or nearly one child per hour. This isn't due to war, disease or famine. We're losing these children from accidental injuries, most of which could have been prevented. ​​I have personally experienced the confusion and fear of seeing one of my children in a life-threatening situation, and what it feels like to panic and not know how to save them when they need you the most.
