About Mark Wilkinson

I'm a freelance creative (Art Director) with experience in print, advertising and design. I began my career in 1995 as a Graphic Designer / Pre-Press technician in the printing industry. I’ve worked in a variety of agencies since 2002, becoming highly proficient in creative strategy, art direction, illustration, design, typography. I’ve also led, motivated and inspired creative teams and formed strong working relationships with many big brand clients and account teams. I've mainly worked on the B2B, Pharmaceutical, Recruitment and Tourism sectors. My last permanent position was Creative Director at the Hale office of Work Communications, where, along with my team, I was successful in winning many new business pitches and awards. I always push for strong, creative, innovative ideas and techniques, whatever the budget or timeframe. The bigger the challenge, the more I like it. My ability to see the work through the various stages of creative development is also a strong skill of mine, and vitally important cog in the creative process. I also make it a priority to properly involve Account Managers and Account Directors – as I believe it takes a team approach to deliver a great project.
