About Mark Winn

I am an experienced Line Manager, Design Leader and Product Designer. I have a wealth of experience in designing for passenger rail (26 years) around the world and more recently in the leisure vehicles and homes sectors, where I was Head of Design for a large team. I have worked in the UK, Australia and Europe and have been responsible for the design, styling, ergonomics, customer experience and project management of hundreds of passenger rail, motorhome, touring caravan and holiday home projects. These include new trains, trams and metro systems for multi-million pound projects in the UK and worldwide, as well as leisure vehicles and holiday homes. I am focused on leading and managing teams through projects to ensure business goals are achieved, while developing and mentoring the talent in my teams. I am highly motivated and pragmatic, with a talent for delivering to tight timelines and budgetary constraints. I see the people in my teams as being the key to success and enjoy the challenge of nurturing and challenging them. My most recent role was Head of Design at Swift Group, reporting to the senior Directors and CEO on a massive portfolio of seasonally changing products. Prior to this, I took the role of Collaborative Design Manager on the esteemed HS2 rail project. This role was the primary interface between two manufacturers, the customer and ultimately the end users, ensuring all stakeholder requirements were met and of the highest possible standard. I am adept at building relationships and take pride in being able to find practical and appealing solutions in difficult situations.
