Fitness director The director is responsible for new hires in the fitness area and supervises class instructors, personal trainers and health educators. They create new programs based on demand as well as new trends in fitness. They also ensure that the entire staff is certified, trained and working to create a safe environment. They oversee the fitness budget and purchase necessary supplies. They also matches the needs of individual members to fitness packages that will help them fulfill their health goals. A good personal trainer evaluates a client’s physical abilities through a series of physical tests and writes a program tailored to the client’s individual needs. I have 30 years of experience doing this and 299 hours of college credits in this area. I would like to take this a step further and coordinate with counselors to write a workout routine tailored to the client’s physical and emotional (mental health needs) and tailored to help client’s overcome Addictive and impulsive behaviors. Studies have shown that people respond well to outdoor activities combined with exercise. It has been shown to empower a person when they are allowed to take a leadership role. This empowerment leads to a change in the impulsive and addictive behavior. This would require clients to earn first and then participate in outdoor activities. These outdoor activities would have to allow the clients to take a leadership role in this activity (always supervised).
