About Mark Wright

Mark W.C. Wright has taught Drama and Technical Theatre at James Monroe High School in Fredericksburg, VA for the last 18 years. He has directed and designed over fifty productions there as well as stage managed and designed lighting for numerous dance companies who rent the auditorium. In his time at JMHS, Mark has grown the theatre department large enough to require the hiring of a second instructor. JM has an active Drama Club and Improv Team. Mark’s most recent television credits are a sarcastic dad in JES Driveway Repair commercial and a featured role in a season 2 episode of America’s Hidden Stories. Before that he played multiple extra roles in season 7 of Homeland and a police officer on an episode of Unmasked for Investigation Discovery. Mark worked as a production assistant with the National Geographic channel on the Ambush episode of Hunter Hunted and with the Discovery Channel on Monsters and Mysteries of Alaska where he also played a female Sasquatch. Mark has worked as an overhire lighting technician at the Shakespeare Theatre and was a founding member of Forum Theatre in Washington, DC where he served as the company’s Technical Director for its first six years. Mark has a BA in Theatre from Mary Washington College.
