I have 20+ years of post-graduate experience in startup, midstage and large biopharmaceutical organizations. Broad experience in genetic engineering, signal transduction, gene discovery, transcriptional regulation, post-transcriptional regulation, epigenetics, platform development, assay development, high throughput screening, in vivo pharmacology and project management Accomplishments: Co-authored publications in peer reviewed journals. Developed bioluminescent reporter systems to measure oligonucleotide delivery in vivo and in vitro Managed scientific relationships and collaborations between CRO and colleagues. Collaborated with chemistry, biology and in vivo groups to advance small molecule and oligonucleotide drug candidates. In-licensed external intellectual property in collaboration with patent counsel. Planned and implemented Environmental Health and Safety and Radiation Safety Programs. Authored project plans including setting timelines and budgets for two lead preclinical programs targeting neuromuscular disease. Specialties: Cell and molecular biology, gene discovery and platform development for nucleic acid based delivery systems. Translating oligonucleotide delivery platforms from in vitro proof of concept and feasibility studies to in vivo applications. Transgenic animal model (mouse) development including knock-out, and gene delivery (transient transgenics).
