My profession philosophy is a simple one that has maintained me throughout the years. This philosophy is to immerse myself in my team's duties and responsibilities to truly understand their perspective. My professional journey began as an intern for Columbia Pictures with their Chicago Marketing team. This experience built a lifelong love for marketing and cinema which has stayed with me to this day. My first mentor gave me the foundation for my philosophy by showing the power of relationship building, and understanding that people are motivated by both extrinsic and intrinsic rewards. My journey then moved to college, and then to my professional development. This philosophy evolved throughout the years to include the need to become a lifelong learner, and to leverage academics in harmony with the professional experience. It has been very helpful professionally to be able to include new concepts from a myriad of sources including TED talks, reviewing Ancient Philosophers, Contemporary Leaders, and having great mentors!
