Her expertise includes students with disabilities, English language learners, gifted learners and students on the margins within public education. Dr. Winston is a frequently sought after keynote speaker, conference presenter, panel participant and educational consultant. In 2015, Markay Winston was awarded an honorary doctorate degree from Central College and received their alumni award in 2014. Recently, she was appointed to the Central College Board of Trustees. Served as Chief Diverse Learner Officer for the 3rd largest school district in the country where she oversaw core instruction and learning supports for over students across 400+ schools.
