About Markeisha Slack

Wife. Mother. Educator. As an educator, I value and esteem excellence in the approach that I take towards teaching. Particularly, exploring alternative forms of teaching, innovative thinking, and introducing real-life events into the classroom. My experience is comprised of a variety of different educational positions that include working in underserved urban communities, as well as suburban communities for a combination of 7 years. Some of my accomplishments include recently attaining my teaching certification while maintaining a full-time lead teaching position. During that time, I was able to target essential teaching strategies, practice classroom management skills, proper administration of assessments, and explored the necessity and importance of relationship building skills while teaching students during my certification program. Other accomplishments include effective teaching online, incorporating engaging teaching methods for online and in-person teaching, reinforcing and maintaining classroom management. I am committed to continue growing and learning as a newly certified teacher under the leadership of experienced educators and team members who are as dedicated and devoted to children as I am.
