Hello! Thank you for taking the time to visit my page. I am confident that whatever work you need performed at your establishment, I can exceed your expectations. While employment is necessary for me to support myself and my family, my work ethic stems not from a place of self-service or the need for a paycheck, but rather from a desire to serve my community and team. Working and going to school for over a decade has culminated in my individualized, personable approach, wherein I work to better the lives of the people around me, whether that's making them a cup of coffee with precision, teaching them how to do a math problem with empathy, or simply exchanging goods and services for currency with enthusiasm. Outside of providing memorable experiences for my coworkers and customers, behind the scenes I work hard to achieve efficiency and consistency. I love a challenge, because I love to build my character and develop my skill set. I have many years of varied work experience, primarily with TK-college students, and customers within the coffee and cinema industries. In education, I've gone beyond teaching into the realm of curriculum design and administrative work, such as collecting and tabulating documentation as well as recruitment and retention. During my time at Starbucks, I have worked at all hours of the day as both a barista and a shift supervisor. I never let a hard day, hard week or even a hard month impact the quality of my work, and I strive to support team members having a difficult time with their work-life balance. As of December 2022, I have graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Neurobiology. I began my college career at 17, way back in 2012, and I am proud to have seen myself through to the very end, no matter what life has thrown at me. I have many aspirations, including to attend graduate school to pursue a PhD in Mycology, to teach high school Biology, and to elevate my artistic talents to the realm of tattooing. Outside of work and school, I am happily married to my high school sweetheart, a wolf-dog parent, and a mad collector of books. I have special interest in Indigenous sovereignty, therefore when I am able to obtain work as a professional, I will be committing myself to volunteer work meant to uplift Native voices and ensure Indigenous self-determination.
