About Marklyn Louis

Marklyn Louis has an extensive background in community organizing, lobbying, operations and management. She’s a self-proclaimed “logistics queen”, aided by her rich professional experience below! Marklyn’s community organizing background began with her door canvassing for Working America, the community affiliate of the AFL-CIO in Philadelphia, PA, where she spent her time issue-based canvassing as well as voter turnout. She thrived in the task of building strength in numbers by urging her neighbors to take action on issues such as minimum wage increase, a fair economy, workers rights, education and health care. From there, she spent time leading canvassing teams in the Working Families Party, based in Philadelphia, where we knocked on thousands of doors that led to Governor Tom Wolf’s victory. Marklyn received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Sciences and Education from Rutgers University in Camden, NJ. Her skills also includes customer service, people management, editing, writing, budget management, Microsoft Office and Excel, Google Docs, Slides, and Excel, process improvement, and business communications.
