About Marko Ayala

I’m currently work with Young Latino Network, working with the Latino/a/e community, developing programming and partnership activation. My 1st job out of college was working in Esperanza, Inc. as the Post-Secondary Retention Coordinator allowed me to engage Latino students from all over Latin America. I assisted the Latino students in obtaining a degree in a post-secondary institution by providing workshops for freshman and sophomore students, assisting students in completing the Esperanza Scholarship, assisted students on a case management basis. As a Mexican-American 1st generation graduate and going through certain hardships while trying to graduate, I feel like I relate with all the students that go through our programs. Listening to the communities needs is important when trying to provide a service rather than assuming what they need. My skills include bilingual communication in Spanish and English, Interpersonal communication, proficient knowledge of data entry software.
