About Marko Oravainen

Talented and social person understanding both human and technology. Focused on delivering value for the real need. Long experience in working with different stakeholders in global environment. I am a customer and human-oriented IT generalist with strong skills in both traditional and agile projects. Interacting with people and training them as well as planning and executing projects are all my everyday life. I emphasize keeping plans and schedules realistic while minimizing unnecessary tasks. Changes are certain so plans are valid only until those need to be revised and updated. Agile methods are tools to success in rapidly developing and complex environments especially when the target state or outcome seems misty. Surround yourself with required expertise including deep business understanding and just solve the bigger problem togehter by delivering valuable small outcomes regularly. Accustomed to deal with all kind of people and situations, also from different cultures. Good at finding ways forward when obstacles try to slow down the progress. Discomfort zone is more a place to learn new skills and shine than a scary thing to avoid. Accustomed to identify, delegate and do what is really needed in order to get things done. Also when it means work outside of the agreed role.
