About Marko Pliso

I recently graduated from the Keck School of Medicine with a Master of Science in Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine. During my studies, I specialized in human kidney development and cell and gene therapeutics, gaining expertise in these areas. My education and training provided me with comprehensive knowledge of human and mouse stem cell physiology, advanced research methods, and analytical techniques. I also learned about the developmental pipelines for cell and gene therapeutics, along with their associated regulatory requirements. Before my graduate studies, I conducted extensive research in otolaryngology, focusing on otoacoustic emissions and various aspects of cochlear function. This work led to abstract submissions and poster presentations at major conferences. Additionally, I gained clinical research experience in emergency rooms, working on pediatric maladies, and earlier, on HIV proteases. My combined academic and research experiences have fostered a strong passion for translational medicine and research. I am eager to apply my skills in the job market, specifically in roles related to cell and gene therapy development and clinical research, to contribute to the development of effective and reliable therapeutics for patients.
