About Marko Rantonen

I am passionate about superior products and education/training! My background is in automotive technology with more than ten years of experience in product development, project management, vehicle testing and OE co-operation. I believe in sharing knowledge as a key component of my work philosophy. Currently, I am a Senior Lecturer in the Automotive Engineering field, where I educate tomorrow's automotive engineers. Topics vary from bachelor level vehicle engineering education to advanced product development activities. My extensive technical background in mechanics, electronics, software, and control systems has allowed me to successfully deliver up to ten high technology tyre products to the market. This accomplishment required years of work developing product strategies and targets, leading development teams, driving new innovations, incremental development, and full-scale go-to-market activities, including production ramp-up. I have a keen interest in R&D, electrical mobility transformation, vehicle testing, intelligent work machines, and team leading.
