About Marko Silov

After graduating from the Faculty of Law, I spent most of my professional career in the family business which includes catering, tourism, construction, purchase and sale of real estate, management, leasing of business premises, and wholesale trade. I was in charge of managing the entire business with an average of 30-35 employees for more than 8 years. Apart from the skills needed to perform such a job, the most important thing I learned was dealing with sudden and stressful situations that were my daily routine, as well as how to organize, lead and cooperate with a large number of people of different knowledge and skills. At the end of 2021, I decided to leave the family business and look for a different professional path. Before I got a job with my current employer, I used the time between the two jobs for additional education and broadening my knowledge. At my current job, I got to know working in a large corporation for the first time and, in addition to the skills necessary to perform the job, I acquired a lot of knowledge about effective teamwork and the organization of projects where a lot of people with different personalities and experiences work. Along with my formal professional path, after leaving the family business, I rediscovered my passion for following sports and especially sports-related trivia and statistics. I started a Twitter profile ( https://twitter.com/MarkoSilov ) in February 2022 where I publish statistics and interesting facts about football. I mostly create the data that I publish myself, that is, I do not transfer it directly from other sources without additional processing and extraction of interesting facts. The profile currently has 1,300 followers, a monthly reach of views, and the posts have been quoted in the media over 50 times (Index, Telesport, Nacional.). In 2023, I started writing articles and participating in podcasts related to football.
