About Markus Kalaoja

Construction engineer form Helsinki, Finland. Born and raised in northern parts of Finland. I'm 29 years old with over 10 years of experience from construction methods, business and sites. I started my career from small sites as a carpenter, then my interest for site leading and engineering woke. Today I have experience from small sites all the way to the most remarkable sites in Finland. My current employer is an international company, therefore I also have experience from international co-operations. Things that inspire me in my work- Learning new methods, techniques and ideas- Pushing yourself to new areas. Entering a new field within my work, which you don't know so much about, always creates an unique atmosphere, that motivates me to push harder and generate the extra energy for the day- People. I always look up to those who can lead with their example. Those ones have given me the most valuable knowledge- Engineering! You got to love what you do. Things I want to advance in- Leadership. In my opinion a leader should always be a person you can look up to and be eager to learn from. Those are the requirements I want to see in myself and improve every day- Sales and customer relations. Seeing some professionals work in this area has filled me with enthusiasm. Maybe someday I can put those skills to work too.
