Background

About Markus Luoto

My career started from research and I have 10+ years of experience from various roles as a researcher in the Telecommunications sector. During this time I also obtained M.Sc.(Tech.) and D.Sc.(Tech.) degrees from University of Oulu and a Ph.D. from the EIT Digital Doctoral School for Innovation & Entrepreneurship. My real passion is mobile software development and at first from 2009 I published several applications for iOS platform as an independent developer. More recently after finishing my degrees, I was the Chief Technology Officer at Foilchat Ltd- a secure communications platform startup - where I was heavily involved in all aspects of developing, supporting and presenting our product. Currently, I am working at OP Financial Group as a senior solution analyst for our main product on mobile platform. For a while, I was also the Head of Mobile Tower at OP Software Academy which provides a continuous learning platform for developers. Additionally, I try be a constant force driving the change to a more agile way of working here at OP making our development and technologies department a more fun, efficient and rewarding workplace.
