I am working as Head of Middle Office. I have privilege to lead team of 13 people who are having top expertise in risk management, analytics, and investment reporting. Middle Office is part of investment process first line of defense. Middle office takes care of daily solvency monitoring and calculates ex-ante and ex-post risk figures as well as performance. My team is highly appreciated of its efficient, goal-oriented mindset and great level of knowledge. I have in-depth competence in following areas: • Instruments and investment products (including derivatives and alternative investments) • Valuations and accounting • Risk management and portfolio theory • Financial market regulation • Project management and co-operation with it-system and other service providers • Solvency regulation and liability management (Finnish pension scheme) • Data analytics and risk methodologies • Market data services and solutions • Regulatory reporting • Investment planning and risk assessment process • Collateral management • ~10-year experience of team leading Most significant achievement in my career has been successful merger of two Finnish pension companies. During the merger process previously outsourced middle office operation were moved in-house. Process included several it-system projects, process planning and team building. Also, after merger period I have got continuously more and more responsibilities and opportunities to bring our company, my team and my personal ambition forward.
