Von meine chemische Grundausbildung reicht von der Radiochemie, der Bauchemie, über physikalische und theoretische Methoden (Spektroskopie, DFT) zur Synthese, sowohl organisch als auch anorganisch. Die Promotion beschäftigte sich mit Struktur-Reaktivitätsbeziehung von Übergangsmetallkomplexen, sowohl synthetisch (strenge Schutzgas-Bedingungen), als auch spektroskopisch und theoretisch. Momentan beschäftige ich mich mit der Materialentwicklung mit Schwerpunkt auf Bulkeigenschaften und deren Modifikation, sowie der Wechselwirkung und Synthese von funktionellen Oberflächen. Inhalt sind Projektmanagement, Planung von Budget und Meilensteinen, die Projektleitung über ein Interdisziplinäres Projektteam, sowie die fachliche Leitung von drei Mitarbeitern.
