Number of years working on automotives (both hobby and career), specializing in electronics. Trained to work on many different specialized transit bus systems not limited to BAE Systems, Allison Hybrid Transmissions, Enerdel and Panasonic Energy Storage Systems, Battery Electric Buses specifically New Flyer and Nova, Trolley Buses, ThermoKing, Mobile Climate Control, Hubner Joint, Coencorp Vehicle Data Units, Init Systems, ZF Transmissions, Cummins Engines in Diesel and Natural gas, and many more. Siemens PLC, KUKA, ABB PLC and Robotics, Java, C/C++, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, Festo are just few of the systems I am very familiar with. I have been a Java and C/C++ programmer for many years now. Building everything from computer software to home security software/hardware with Raspberry Pi's and Arduinos. Programming with KUKA, ABB, Siemens; PLC/Robots came quite naturally considering my knowledge in other programming languages. I've built a fluid handling system using Festo equipment and programmed a Siemens PLC and HMI to go along to actuate valves, pumps, heaters, mixers, etc. In highschool I was awarded the Technology Bursary/Award. I also completed and passed a Java Advanced Placement exam for university. At the University of the Fraser Valley, I was given the opportunity to teach high-school teachers about a few things I have learned throughout my education to familiarize teachers with the robotics program in their local University. I, with my lab partner Cody Shabbits, represented UFV at the BC Tech Summit 2018 where I displayed my PLC/Robotic Arm project and demonstrated the different systems we learn and work with at UFV. I also made the Dean's List during my Robotics and Automation Diploma. Throughout my education in robotics, I gained a lot of knowledge about many different work environments. Everywhere from agriculture to food production, to part manufacturing. I would stay 3-4 hours everyday after school learning above and beyond what my school had to offer.
