About Markus Zoller

I handle prosecution and litigation cases in various areas of the life science field including biotechnology (in particular immunobiology and protein chemistry), pharmacy or genetic engineering. The type of clients I work with ranges from individual inventors to large corporations. In addition to drafting patent applications and assisting with opposition proceedings, I provide guidance to my clients on patent portfolio management and litigation strategies. I also advises my clients in the field of trade mark and design law. Before starting in a large Munich patent law firm I worked in a patent law firm in New York City. I hold a Bachelor and Master’s degree of Science in molecular Biotechnology at the Technical University in Munich. During my studies Markus worked at the University of Amsterdam and studied one semester at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. After three years of research at the Max-Planck Institute for Infectious Biology in Berlin I received my Doctor’s degree in the field of molecular biology, especially (auto) antibodies. I am a Patentanwalt (German Patent Attorney), European Patent Attorney as well as European Trade Mark and Design Attorney.
