If you asked my colleagues and friends to describe me in my life and work, they would say I am empathetic, creative, thoughtful and committed to growing and giving the best I can give. I have been working with young people ever since I left high school 23 years ago. Originally as a sports coach and youth leader, I then moved into a career in teaching which has taken me on an 18 year journey of both educating others and continually learning myself. I love the challenge of helping my students to engage in their learning and the world around them with curiosity and authenticity. I get excited about embracing the moments in life that arise to connect with others, challenging each other to become people who can look inwards in self-reflection, resilience, and challenge but also look outwards in service, empathy, and compassion.
