About Marlene Bindig

Gold medal winner at the German championships in gymnastics, Bachelor in Sports- Event and Tourism Management and now Women in Tech @Google. During my time as a professional athlete I did not only drive success as an individual gymnast but also lead my team of the Dresdner SC 1898 e.V. to the highest German gymnastics league, the 1st Bundesliga as team captain. However, I did not always stay on the floor mat, but also took up a role next to it. As a judge, choreographer, coach and host of world cups, I was able to pass on the knowledge I had acquired. After I retired from competitive sports and took on a new challenge, I started studying in three languages at the Free University of Bolzano, German, English and Italian. I started my career in the information technology industry in sales and during this time I developed my skills in this area, which I can now apply in my role as New Business Account Manager at Google in the Kickstart+ team. Now I am working with SMBs and Start-Ups to consult about the right online marketing strategy to efficiently and successfully scale the business. Every business is individual, so creative solutions have to be found to achieve the set goals together.
