About Marlene Parham Murphy

I have acquired 17 years of experience working at the corporate and governmental levels. My experiences incorporate working for large accounting firms such as PriceWaterhouse Coopers, brokage firms such as Merrill Lynch, several banks, and under the Department of Treasury- The Internal Revenue Service. I have also taught accounting, business law, and other business courses at colleges and universities. I have also acquired 17 years of private practice, as and accountant and the owner of a private business school. In 1983 I started Accountax Business Services Group a practice specializing in individual and corporate taxation. I became an IRS Enrolled Agent under the Department of Treasury and began to represent clients in audits and examinations and before the IRS tax courts. I also network with other private and governmental firms in representing clients. In I started Accountax School of Business, Inc. an on line private business school. We are approved by the IRS to provide continuing education for tax professionals and the Enrolled Agent Review study program for practitioners aspiring to become tax professionals. We are also approved by the State of Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education to provide continuing legal education for practicing attorneys. In 2016, I started A.S.B. Educational Institute. This division of Accountax School of Business incorporates an on line high school that is registered with the Illinois State Board of Education. The high school is one to two on line high schools in the state of Illinois designed for students to meet graduation requirements for a high school diploma. We are also approved by the Illinois State Board of Education to provide professional development for instructors. A.S.B. Educational Institute also incorporates an In the School/After School and a Summer program for Elementary Students who attend schools in the state of Illinois.
