About Marlene Ruiz

With over 10 years of experience as a project manager and 6 years as a safety ninja, I bring a wealth of expertise to the table. As an authorized OSHA safety trainer, I am committed to ensuring the highest standards of safety in every project I undertake. My educational background includes a degree in Computer Science from Universidad Santa Maria la Antigua of Panama Republic and a summa cum laude Master's in Information Systems with an emphasis in Business Analysis from Hodges University in Florida. In addition to my role as a project manager and safety expert, I am also a seasoned Construction Manager and Estimator. I consider myself a professional student, always seeking to expand my knowledge and skills in the field. Throughout my career, I have successfully managed a diverse range of projects, from painting communities and re-roofing tiles and shingles to installing PGT windows and sliding doors, and repairing structural columns. My philosophy is simple: prioritize safety and quality control, and budget, communication, and costs will naturally follow. I am passionate about construction, particularly in educating Spanish-speaking workers on the importance of safety and health. Compliance with safety regulations is not only a legal obligation but also our right. I actively promote safety training in Spanish to ensure that language is not a barrier to workplace safety. In my free time, when I'm not scaling scaffolds or overseeing construction sites, you'll find me traveling or indulging in my hobby of baking delicious sourdough bread.
