My career started way back in 1989 as a filing clerk at Auto & General Insurance. During this time I was promoted several times. From Filing clerk, to receptionist, to Legal secretary and ended off as a Personal lines claims negotiator within the 5 years. I was than offered a very promising career in ABSA Bank where I started off in the Ledger dept. by opening cheque accounts for our clients. Assisting at our switchboard and our managers reception as well After that I was offered to be 2nd in charge at one of our agencies / smaller branches. I was the Main teller, ran the ATM by doing all the month end reports and was also on call out duty. Managing the reception area, assisted with opening of accounts, ordering money from head office and ensuring we had enough funds at the branch, was now completely under my management. After banking I moved to the Insurance industry again and still within the industry I worked for insurance companies as well as brokerages mainly as a Claims Negotiator/Senior Claims negotiator.
