About Marley Jackson

I’m a climate change policy professional with experience across adaptation, emissions reduction, and environmental management. My commitment to this work was shaped by the Black Summer bushfires in Australia, which transformed climate change from an abstract concern into a personal priority. Since then, I’ve been driven to support the transition to a more sustainable future by developing climate policy that reduces vulnerability and strengthens long-term resilience and equity. I’m a generalist at heart – someone who thrives in roles that bring strategy, people, and purpose together. I’m skilled in research, policy analysis, strategy development, and project management, with a strong ability to connect ideas across disciplines and communicate them clearly. I’m at my best in environments that value creativity, critical thinking, and building something meaningful in the face of uncertainty, complexity, and change. Looking ahead, I’m open to opportunities across government, international institutions, research institutes, NGOs, and mission-driven organisations in the private sector. My future focus is on contributing to the fields of climate risk and resilience, climate technology innovation and development, and climate security and diplomacy.
