A trusted friend of over 20 years sends a cryptic text… “got a business question for you, can you help me out?”. Mind you, this text arrives at 8:37pm. I’m thinking a simple back/fourth via text turns to “hey, can I call you?” During our short and simple chat we defined the power of an opportunity that he’s been presented with and 3-core questions to ask himself to achieve the best possible outcome for this very big life change which ties a lot of risk to it. But after this connection we were able to take his level 10+ anxiety around to about a level 3. The power of connecting with someone who has high emotional intelligence matched to some very powerful business and life experiences leads me to be very effective at assisting others through coaching. I like to say “people are my product and performance is the outcome”. That said, it’s my experience that guides me matched to my strength of ‘relator’ that enables it all to mix and meld together for the best possible outcome. I don’t take any shit! I’ve been delt plenty (as most of us have), but I’ve learned how to stand tall through the storm and how to build back up after a setback and document it along the way so I can help as many people as possible to do the same for themselves. One thing that you’ll never see me do is stay or play small! I learned early on that the ‘magic is in the stretch zone’ and if you plan to make any kind of impact in the world you’ve got to go all in.
