My career milestones include earning the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Facility Management Professional certifications, which have been pivotal in my ability to lead teams and implement strategic improvements. Currently serving as Duty Facility Manager at Metrolinx, I am responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of facility and grounds maintenance across designated stations. I ensure compliance with safety standards and operational protocols, with maintenance scope including systems such as mechanical, electrical, life safety, security/access, elevators, building automation, deep cleaning, and landscaping. I coordinate and supervise vendors and contractors, handling tasks such as scheduling, quality control, performance tracking, and escalating issues to contract management, while offering strategic input and improvement suggestions as needed. I drive operational excellence by implementing maintenance initiatives and improvements for the Metrolinx Transit Corridors, including both GO Transit-owned and leased infrastructure, properties, and associated assets. I conduct risk evaluations and ensure safety procedures are reviewed and followed, while overseeing implementation of recovery plans aligned with organizational standards. I lead a facility maintenance team, managing scheduling and shift planning to maintain seamless 24/7 operational coverage. Previously, I demonstrated success as an enthusiastic and knowledgeable leader of 168 employees in the efficient operations of an Automated Warehouse that supplied 829 stores with fresh, frozen, and dry goods articles.
