About Marlon Marques

I am a Tax Lawyer, co-author of 3 books regarding VAT. Holding an MBA in taxation, I have almost 2 decades of experience in managing international indirect tax including VAT automation, tax accounting, tax controversy & Audit. I worked for 9 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) before moving in-house and I was based out of different countries (Brazil, Luxembourg, Italy and Switzerland) and dealt with tax matters (VAT in particular) in all EU Member States. Nowadays, I would like to progress professionally by sharing and improving my previous experience with indirect taxation (European and Brazilian) and having challenged my business and management skills. Additionally, I would like to highlight the fact that through my work at both PwC and Chiquita, I have a broad professional experience in dealing with different types of companies, in different sectors and with different economic strengths as, for example, food industry, mining companies, communication companies, the tobacco industry and supermarket chains. My main areas of interest are as follows:(i) tax consulting services;(ii) tax compliance tax planning and;(iv) tax research.
