About Marlon Simons

IT is my passion, both personally and professionally. Although I'm a very experienced functional consultant and projectmanager, I'm very interested in the technical aspects as well. I excel when I operate at the intersection of business and technology, as I add value translating business requirements into software solutions. In November 2016 I registered my own company MS61 Consultancy. With my company, I deliver IT-projectmanagement services in general. I've extensive experiences in small and large projects in both private and public sector, domestic and abroad. On top of that I’m one of the few OPA-experts in the Netherlands and Europe. I also develop solutions in Microsoft Excel (using Visual Basic for Applications). One of my other skills that is often being used is conducting courses. The courses I’ve conducted – both in Dutch and English – have been rated with a 8.5 score on average. Recently I started developing mobile apps for iOS in Swift and my first app is available in the Apple AppStore. For me, I always hold up my end of the bargain. I’m analytical, flexible, thorough and accurate, engaging and responsible. I do not stop before the desired results have been achieved. I’m also interested in other things that make life worthwhile. I’m married and have two student children. I work out two times a week in boot camp-sessions, play squash and like in-line skating. I like to transfer my knowledge and expertise, hence, I trained and coached youth-teams of the field hockey club HDM in The Hague. I love Apple’s products and their product philosophy, listen to many podcasts related to Apple, IT, politics and ‘true crime’. Recently I started taking guitar lessons to actively express my other passion; music. I love to listen to music and even more love to dance.
