In her role as Vice-President, Policy & Strategy at the Council of Ontario Universities (COU) Marny Scully leads the development of strategic plans and policy advice to advance sector-wide priorities for Ontario universities. Previous to this role Marny was Deputy Chief of Government Relations at the University of Toronto providing strategic advice in support of the University's advocacy efforts. As Executive Lead with the Ministry of Colleges and Universities Marny led the Strategic Mandate Agreement process and bilateral negotiations culminating in finalized agreements with Ontario’s 45 colleges and universities. Marny is considered one of Canada’s leading practitioners in her field based on her leadership skills and her extensive policy and analytical expertise. Marny has more than 30 years of experience across a variety of organizations including the Council of Ontario Universities, the University of Toronto, and the Ministry of Colleges and Universities. She is a graduate of the Rotman Executive Leadership program and holds a Masters in Public Policy & Administration and an HBA in Political Science from McMaster University.
