About Marshall Everson

Marshall Everson is a partner at York IE where he is responsible for identifying emerging trends and market opportunities. First and foremost, Marshall personally meets with entrepreneurs and founders and commits time to deeply understand companies, products and markets. He is also team lead for company, investment and market analysis. In addition to discovering new opportunities, Marshall works closely with portfolio companies, advising on all stages of the startup lifecycle from business model and pricing strategy to exit strategies and everything in between. Previously, Marshall was a strategic development analyst at Oracle where he helped run the M&A process for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. In that role, Marshall did market tracking and analysis, M&A target sourcing, wrote market overviews, company profiles, deal rationales, and helped with deal decks for executives. His work had Oracle board level visibility in deciding strategic investments and direction for the Fortune 100 company. Additionally, he worked on market and competitive intelligence with product and engineering leadership to help inform product strategy and roadmap for Oracle’s cloud platform. Marshall began his career playing professional hockey in both the United States and Norway. He has a degree in government and economics from Harvard University.
