About Marshall Wang

I design brand and multimedia experiences at the intersection of art and technology. I am a multidisciplinary designer with an M.F.A. in Design and Technology from Parsons School of Design, and a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from California Institute of the Arts. My practice spans from branding, typography, 3D design, UI/UX, digital fabrication, generative design, and Interaction design. Over the years, I have worked as a graphic designer for retail brands and institutions such as Nike Swim, Bestore Co, Renault France, Meow Wolf, CalArts and MIT Media Lab. In parallel of commercial projects, I also work as a media artist and I've created installation, moving image and critical design work that have been showcased at cultural institutions and galleries like Pioneer Works, Recess, Flowing Space, IIDRR Gallery, and Boston Cyberarts Gallery. Beyond my professional endeavors, I'm the co-proprietor of Sequence Giftshop, an artist collective dedicated to exploring gestures of care through independent publishing and object-making. When I’m not hustling, you can find me city wandering, memes curating, or natal chart reading.
