About Marta Assuncao

I’m passionate about People and Life! In my opinion, Life’s too short to not commit ourselves to things that we believe in. I’m passionate about what technology and education can bring for a better society. I’m passionate about making things happen, project management and team management! As Michael Porter shared some years ago in a TEDx conference, “I believe in the power of business to solve social problems that create shared value”. Thus, I want to be empowered to do good and work with good people in an organization that is committed to doing better for a sustainable future. I’m part of a big family, my perspective has been molded from my experience living in Portugal, Spain, Mozambique, Belgium and Cape Verd. I´m currently living in Bogota with my family. I have welcomed challenges throughout my career and life, been highly engaged, and was responsible for every project I participated in. From being part of a unique fundraising project in a business school, where working with talented people and the enormous desire to do better, were greatly rewarding. Where I also had the opportunity to lead a team that grew from 4 to 13. And that, above all, I learned that if you believe and work hard, things can happen; To analysing pension funds, where organisation, processes and teamwork were crucial for me. Last but not least, to launching a microfinance project in Mozambique, where I am thankful for the impact that we had on those entrepreneurs and all the stories and lives that I came into contact with. I’m a proud mother of three kids from 2 to + years old. I’m also very proud to say that I have finished my MBA at Imperial College in 2021
