About Marta Brisco

I am a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA.CA) with over 20 years of financial reporting, planning & analysis experience. I find great satisfaction in designing bespoke financial analysis that helps my clients make great decisions. I co-founded Àigh Family Office with James Ferguson in March of 2021. We love using our complementary skills to solve complex tax, financial planning and accounting challenges for our busy clients, so they can be free to do what they do best. As the Director of Finance at Brockton School in North Vancouver, I led a number of initiatives to help support the rapid growth of the school. My role involved developing the business office from a one person operation to a department with four direct reports. I spearheaded numerous software implementations, process improvements, human resources projects, and financial governance initiatives. I enjoyed working with Brockton's amazing educators, administrators and volunteers. I continue to assist Brockton on a consulting basis. My career began twenty years ago in forensic and litigation accounting working for PWC and KPMG. I was a Senior Manager and had a specialist designation (CA IFA) for several years. I have testified in court as an accounting expert. My next career move was to ICBC and for several years was in the Financial Governance group. While part of ICBC, I coordinated several financial year-ends, lead the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) assessment process, and was involved in corporate and accounting policy development. As a life long learner I love taking courses in professional disciplines that complement my accounting training. Recently I completed training in presentation design, fundraising, organizational development, civic engagement, and project management. I am tech savvy and love learning how to use new software to improve & automate processes. I have a passion for community involvement and volunteering. I am the Treasurer of North Vancouver Restorative Justice. I have also been a community leader at an independent school in North Vancouver where I have served as the Chair of the Board, the Treasurer, developed a website, and led a renovation of the school's garden.
