About Marta Kanarkiewicz

I am a detail- oriented project and event coordinator with a strong focus in leadership and assets management. I am a researcher of migration and migrant inclusion topics and freelance activist colaborating with organizations located in different European countries. I have experience in both office and retail environments. During both my academic and professional career I have developed skills that allow me to work both leading and being a part of a team in order to achieve really specific and demanding goals. My recent experience as a project coordinator allowed me to learn how to develop my own project and thanks to this knowledge and natural leadership skills I hosted a successful international symposium on the topic of migrants and refugees inclusion policies and practices. In my previous jobs I worked, among others, as a team leader and I was responsible for putting together a team of highly trained and motivated individuals that allowed me to turn a poor performing shop into a highly profitable and consistent business. I gained ability to work well under pressure, understanding both people􏰀's and business􏰀' needs. Moreover, I have a wide experience in administrative work as well as direct work with people of different backgrounds. In my professional career I have worked with youth, international students, people with migration and refugee background and in the international team of collegues from many different countries. This particular experience allowed me to develop strong intercultural communication skills.
