About Marta Solsona
My career has been shaped by a dual passion: the empowerment of vulnerable communities through sustainable development and the dissemination of scientific knowledge. Since 2016, I have been leading the Work4Progress Programme at the 'la Caixa' Foundation, driving innovative employment solutions through collaborative platforms in Peru, Colombia, India, and Mozambique. This programme allows me to combine my expertise in social innovation with a commitment to improving lives through inclusive economic opportunities. My journey began in 1998 at the CosmoCaixa Science Museum, where I was responsible for creating exhibitions that made complex scientific concepts accessible to the public. This early work sparked my interest in making impactful knowledge available to diverse audiences, a theme that has been central throughout my career. I hold a PhD in Geology from the University of Barcelona and a postgraduate degree in NGO Management and Social Innovation from ESADE-Institute for Social Innovation. With a background in both science and social innovation, I am passionate about using knowledge and creativity to address global challenges and create positive change
