Presently I work for "Nurse Advocate Partners "and "Tri-Valley Inc." I have and extensive work history in most arenas of hospital settings, predominantly Emergency Medicine and Day Surgery. My strengths are assessments and advocacy. I'm a chairperson for our Town's Disability Commission. I believe now more than ever before that advocacy in health care is essential. There aren't enough health care workers, in most settings. The time they do have is often shredded to pieces by demands of many. To hear the needs of an individual is difficult and frustrating for that individual as well as the health care worker. So much miscommunication and misunderstanding. If there were more advocates available to "clear the conversation" for both provider and patient, it would change so much for so many. I'm off my pedestal now. Thanks for listening :)
