About Martin Anioka

I have over Sixteen (16) years combined experience earned from External Audit & Assurance, Internal Audit and Risk Management. Eight(8) years Executive Management (EXCO) experience in banking. I am currently the Chief Risk Officer at PostBank Uganda Limited responsible for leading the Risk and Governance agenda at a strategic level; implementing the bank's Board approved Risk Management Framework and Risk Management Processes for better decision making and ultimate creation and protection of value within the organisation and for the benefit of stakeholders. I previously worked at Orient Bank Limited (now I&M Uganda Limited) as a Head of Internal Audit and later on as Head of Risk. Prior to joining PostBank Uganda Limited, I worked with KPMG, one of the big four International Audit firms for four years after which I joined PKF, an International firm of professional business advisers where I worked for two (2) years and three (3) months from 1 October 2012 to 31 January 2015. I joined Diamond Trust Bank Uganda Limited as Manager - Internal Audit effective February 2015; from where I moved to Orient Bank Limited, firstly as the Head of Internal Audit and subsequently became the Head of Risk. I am also a Professional Certified in Risk Management in accordance with ISO - Foundations Level. I hold a first class degree in International Business Studies from Makerere University. I am a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU). I am focused, self-motivated, result oriented and God fearing.
