Martin Arinaga, CFP, ChFC, a PlanMember advisor with the Chinen & Arinaga Financial Group, has received the third annual Elite Advisor Award, an annual recognition of excellence in the 403(b) and 457(b) retirement industry from the National Tax-Deferred Savings Association (NTSA). Arinaga was one of six winners, chosen from nine finalists and nearly 50 entries. “The Elite Advisor Award is more than mere recognition of achievement in a chosen profession,” said Christopher DeGrassi, NTSA executive director. “It is the honor of being asked by peers to accept the obligation to represent what is best about the profession. NTSA Elite Advisors represent the standard of excellence to which all investment professionals should aspire.” Arinaga has served as a senior vice president and corporate board member of Chinen & Arinaga Financial Group, Inc, a PlanMember Financial Center in Mililani, Hawaii, since 1992. Chinen & Arinaga has grown to become one of Hawaii’s premier retirement planning organizations, managing more than $500 million. Named the 2008 Hawaii Insurance & Financial Advisor Professional of the Year, Arinaga has been a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) since 1997; he has served as the NAIFA Hawaii State Membership chair, president and treasurer and as a member of its Board of Directors.
