About Martin Aster

My passion is to create exceptional Hardware and Software products which add significant value to users and customers. I am a honest leader who evangelizes interdisciplinary cooperation across departments, business units and companies. I am leading teams to success by creating an environment where they can focus on their job and play to their strengths In the past years, I have driven the conception, development, rollout and lifecycle of multiple product series, in the area of premium industrial, rugged-yet-nice-looking Mobile POS Handhelds and their – frequently underestimated – accessories. My core responsibilities included traditional department management (projects, staff, budget) and the overall accountability for successful project execution I have a broad engineering and program management expertise across Embedded Hard- and Software, Middleware, Applications and Cloud Platforms. This is complemented by my relentless interest in shaping the strategy and vision for my products and for my company, and in creating “the right” product (aka “Product Management”) Some of my specialties include successful product development and operations with Asian engineering + manufacturing teams (Custom ODM projects), and Payment Acceptance & Processing (Contactless/MPoC payments) Oh, and I am typically quite picky on any presented information being accurate and also (which is not the same ) accurately reported.
